Violet Dust Plate
The work treats colour as residue. Violet is used to cool the pressure of the surface while still leaving the image unstable.
The plate begins with a dense wash and is then rubbed back until a residual figure starts to emerge.
What remains is a record of adjustment more than a resolved image.
